  3.  Derek Mitchell  Right, but aren't they technically considered United States citizens now? And the Canadian I believe had dual citizenship as well. It's just really ironic that Obama would stop this during his presidency.

There's always going to be people who won't answer honestly, whether because they don't care about the census and just want to f it up by putting messed up stuff on it, or because they are going to blatantly lie because they don't want to share "who they are." Either way, it should be on there because most people will be honest.

  6.  @SuperCoolSpanishDude  Why is it so "CORRUPT," to want to know how many people are in the US (at the time of the Census) who are not US citizens? You seem to forget that this means nothing. There aren't questions saying "what's your status," "Do you have a student visa," "a work visa," "are on the K1 Visa," etc., etc. Also, people can choose to not fill it out. Yeah, they could be fined, but I know lots of people who never do the census to begin with, because they think it's a waste of "their" time.

  7.  Derek Mitchell  Right! I think the question was about if someone was just a US Citizen though, so in the two circumstances that you speak of, the answer would be yes.

  8.  Derek Mitchell  Yeah, you have a valid point there. I guess they are maybe thinking, this way they get to the people who don't do their taxes, like people who are in things like low income (and don't need to file), and certain things like that. It's kind of like filling in the gaps I guess.
