  20.  @shiitakestick  I'm confused, because I don't know exactly what you're implying I "forgot" ? I know VERY well how insurance works. I just didn't feel it was necessary to go into things, and so I kept my answer shorter. A lot of people nowadays (I'm not saying you), don't realize how the "sue-happy" people have actually ruined a a lot of things for people. I guess in all reality...in a nutshell, it's basically just greed. That's why all the contracts for EVERYTHING has gotten longer. Buying a car now, is like buying a home used to be. Buying a home is like buying 4 homes, signing up for insurance is also a lot different as well. All because people have just worked the system and taken advantage of certain situations. Then, you have people who actually need help in the event of something happening, and it's like pulling teeth to get the claim taken care of. I had this happen, when I had a dishwasher blow a line in the middle of the night, in one of my rental houses. My insurance company at the time, didn't want to help cover damages, lost rent, etc. All things I paid a pretty penny to have coverage for, just "in case," something ever happened. It was frustrating, because at the time, I was 35 years old, hadn't ever taken out a claim, or even been in an accident, had a ticket, etc. (You know, all things that they use against you with insurance policies). Needless to say, I switched companies after that. It was really irritating, because I'd been with that company for 17 years (it's still the only claim I've ever had, "knock-on-wood"). But oh well... Shit happens! Just hope that we it does, that you have good Insurance! Haha! 😂
