  58.  @markv8890  You seem to think that there isn't a path... Let me enlighten you a bit. https://www.usa.gov/become-us-citizen Here's how people do it. And they are working on it ALL THE TIME! The reason people don't do this, is because it takes time, dedication, planning, and many people don't care, because if they snuck in, they don't think they'll get caught. Back in 1999, I knew a handful of immigrants from Mexico, who'd snuck in and made it all the way up to WA state. Now, because of what they'd done and how they got here, they were in a bit of a predicament, because they didn't come in LEGALLY, so it was going to be much more difficult. In fact, the female had even asked if she could marry my then boyfriend, so she could work on getting her (green card), that way. Talk about awkward, when she was having that talk in front of me AND HER BOYFRIEND. Also, if somebody overstays their VISA, and then tries for citizenship, when they are now here illegally, that doesn't help either. I know a lot about this, having grown up with exchange students from around the world (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Japan, Brazil, etc), who then sought citizenship after H.S., Also friends in college who were exchange students (the ones I shared, plus others from Tanzania, Poland, Sweden and Australia), who all returned home, except a couple from Tanzania, who ended up getting married to girls here. Many people think that there's no pathway to citizenship, but the truth is, it's just not an easy path, as it shouldn't be. It's not easy in other countries, and it shouldn't be here. People need to work to gain their citizenship. People need to be vetted and checked, and there's nothing wrong with that.

  103.  @c.o.6584  Uhmmm... You talk about "fresh air," in one of your prior comments about cars and houses. That's actually not accurate. #1. A car doesn't pull in "fresh air," unless you push the button to do so, and even then, It's a very small area. If you're in the car and want to be safe with someone, you should have your windows open AND the air on, NOT recirculating the same air within the vehicle. #2. The same thing goes with a home. And actually, unless you have a window open and a fan blowing it around, even an HVAC system, DOESN'T circulate outside air, or rather... pull in outside air. You can fact check that, because many people think it does, but in fact... it doesn't. It only recirculates the air that's already inside your home, pulling it in from a certain vent (usually a large floor one in older homes, and/or a wall one in newer ones/homes, larger homes may have more than one), passing through a filter (which in most cases WON'T filter out viruses, because of their size), and then the air will pass through either a HVAC system, and/or furnace, depending on what the person has. So many people think HVAC/AC units pull air from outside, but they actually don't. A prime example of this, were the cruise ships, and how the virus continued to spread, even AFTER people were quarantined in their cabins. Here's some info about filters, HEPA filters specifically, because they are a better choice when possible (and they don't even stop viruses): "There are HEPA like filters that can capture particles as small as 2 microns. They will filter out most dust particles, allergens, pet dander, and mold. Most Viruses are too small and unless they somehow get trapped by directly hitting the fibers in the filter, then it is likely that at least some of the virus will pass right by and continue into the air distribution system. Even true HEPA filters will only filter out completely, microns down to .3 microns with 99.97% efficiency rate. Since viruses are much smaller than this, they can pass through even true HEPA filters. Hospitals are usually the primary purchasers of true HEPA filters, but even they do not rely solely on these filters to clean and sanitize their air. How HEPA filters work for Covid-19 "Again, the virus is small enough that it can pass through the filter. Some of the virus may get caught in the filter, but we cannot sell this product (HEPA filters) under the banner that it will protect you from Covid-19." The only item that's shown to help with viruses and Covid, are some ozone-generating products. So, in conclusion, the only way you can have "fresh air," is to be outside, or have a window open, to let in "fresh air." Sorry for he long comment, but I know from experience that more people have welcomed this information than not, so I'll continue sharing when necessary. Hope it helps! Take Care... 💓

  164.  @sebyknows5306  Huh? I never ever said I built my business with money from my parents. I said the complete opposite. Go read it. My parents would NEVER give any of my brothers or me money to start a business. They were/are very strict/hard parents. In fact, when my Father died, my oldest brother, bought my Father's longtime business from my mother. My twin brother built his business from the ground up as well, and his business is worth over 60 million dollars now, but that's because it's a computer business/virtual reality and CRY VERY different than a Construction Business. And my middle brother has a producing company in LA. Next, My "Sweetie," is NOT my daughter's father. My Daughter's father was extremely abusive, and I've even explained this before. I actually have a DVPO against him, which to judge recently renewed for 5 years, instead of the usual 1 year. In addition to that, I also decided to get my CWP, a S & W 9MM, an ADT home security system and an 8 camera n home Monitoring system, to completely protect my doctor and I. She was actually conceived horribly, but I chose not to abort her. You can figure out what I mean with that comment. I haven't been with him, for years. And since you're basically making me explain myself so you know I'm not a liar, both my Sweetie and I own our own homes, and so I live in mine, and he lives in his, and we've decided to do that, until we are married. I guess you could say we are more old-fashioned with our morals and values. Eventhough we are older and have already been married in the past, to other people, we've chosen to do things differently this time. We've been together for 4.5 years and have a very stable relationship, that we built very differently than most. We didn't just "jump in the sack," like most would maybe do at our ages (he's 47 and I'm "around 40" no need to know my exact age). I AM a single Mother. Nobody else takes care of my daughter, except me. I don't even receive any financial support from her father, and NEVER have. You need to go back and read my original comments, because I NEVER said that I started my business with help from my parents. I started it, with money from my other home that I owned and sold. Since I've taken care of my credit, I was about to purchase certain things with lines of credit and/or have available lines of credit to use for jobs. Then slowly but surely I grew the business over the past 6 years to where it is now.

  197.  @alissaswofford4554  And what people DON'T ever want to talk about, is the Psychological damage an abortion has on many girls/woman. 5 of the 6 friends of mine who've had abortions, went on to think about their choice and became extremely depressed later on. They think about their Birthday every year, and whether or not it was a boy or girl. It's not just a simple procedure (like getting your wisdom teeth pulled), that doesn't have it's own future consequences. Not only that, but they also don't want to talk about issues later in life, with having had an abortion, and trying to get pregnant, or more importantly, STAY pregnant. 2 of my friends never had their own babies later in life. One ended up having 2 miscarriages and the other 4, and it was EXTREMELY traumatic. They still blame them on the Abortion they had earlier in life. I think that if somebody is going to have an abortion, that they should need to have an ultrasound and session with a therapist first, so they can go over everything. It shouldn't be some "unimportant" decision... People downplay the term baby, and call it a fetus, because it's "EASIER" for them to be pro-Abortion. That's the only reason they don't like using the term baby. It's very IRONIC, because when these same people talk about a cat or dog having kittens or puppies, they call them that, or a litter. They don't say they are going to have a bunch of fetuses, or a litter of fetuses. It's absolutely RIDICULOUS! And we won't even get into the "vegans" who are "Pro-Choice." Talk about HYPOCRISY right there!

  281.  @preceecharles5814  Right? I don't understand how people can believe pregnancy is something soooo different. Maybe I'm just different, because I had two miscarriages, and then finally had my one and only child. I suffered from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which is a very severe illness during pregnancy. In fact, I was hospitalized multiple times because of it, was on two anti-emetics that are traditionally given to chemo patients, received weekly doses of I.V. fluids and B combo shots, going through this from 6.5 weeks until I was just shy of 35 weeks. Some women even end up with PICC lines, because it's so severe. I don't know, I guess some people just don't look at "a life" and value it as much as others. At the end it the day, whether it's an embryo forming into a fetus, or already a fetus... IT'S STILL A LIFE What's crazy to me, is how people who are Pro-Life, get ridiculed and attacked, but yet the ones who aren't, hardly get attacked like Pro-Lifer's do. And here we are just fighting for LIFE... Even as a survivor of child molestation and rape as an adult, I'm still Pro-Life. I guess I just look at things differently and don't believe that one horrific ACT, constitutes an even greater one... Abortions in some states are now legal all the way up until 40weeks, for ANY REASON THE MEDICAL PROVIDER DEEMS NECESSARY Now, we aren't talking about the traditional reason, mother's life is in danger or things of those nature. An those things have been LEGAL already. We are talking about the right of the mother, just choosing to terminate. Yes, most states only allow it under 24 weeks. Some have had a "gray area" using the terminology of "before the baby is viable, usually been 22-26 weeks." Soooo... In those cases, what do they do? Somebody comes in at 23 weeks, who makes the decision? Not too mention, we have now seen clips where people have told "expectant mother's," to NOT say they were over 24 weeks, or whatever the cut off was, because then they wouldn't be able to have one. That's just crazy. Babies have been born and survived now at 21weeks and a few days...*18wks+ EARLY* But yet gullible, ignorant, UNEDUCATED, people... Want to say that it's not a life until it's born??? MUST BE AN 👽 OR SOMETHING Give me a freaking break. Or... Some say it has to "pass through the vaginal canal." Hmmm... Guess I was never born, because I have a twin, and we were delivered cesarian. When Abortion was first legalized, it was supposed to be safe, legal and "RARE" I wouldn't consider the CDC's reporting of over 45.7 million REPORTED Abortions between 1970 and 2015, to be RARE
    2
  282.  @smashmusique  I'm completely against Abortion. I don't think somebody should be able to go in and say, kill my baby and take it out. We already have in place, guidelines for women in the event something happens and the mother's life is in danger. Heck, there are even things in place, for mother's to terminate if they find out there's something wrong with their baby. I am just against Abortion as we are talking about. I've actually had mutiple friends carry their child to term, knowing they wouldn't make it, they just weren't going to terminate. 3 were different cases of Trisomy. The first passed at 26wks gestation, and was delivered stillborn, one was born at home, my friend (the mother), who's been a nurse for 20 years, actually resuscitated her baby within a minute of being born, and she then lived for another 11 days. The third passed at 29wks gestation, and was delivered stillborn. I just have a very different take on pregnancy, and I really think it's because of what I've personally been through. People want to get all irritated about the heartbeat bill, but if you think about it, there's really nothing wrong with it. It's not supposed to be used for birth control (hence the term rare). If you're raped, not only will they give you the morning after pill at the hospital (or you can get it yourself at the pharmacy too, it's over the counter in a lot of areas). If you still find out that you could be pregnant, you're going to continue checking. Usually working with a doctor and having bloodwork done to test your HCG levels. If you find out you're pregnant from rape, you can still go in before 8/9 weeks. People who have been raped, know when it happens. They never forget the facts, and you're going to continue with certain testing, until you find out you're "safe" from diseases and whether or not you're pregnant. I know, because I've been through it.

  523.  @kpchessman  Yes, in most cases they legally can't enforce you to wear a mask, but... When it comes to businesses, they DO have the Right, to refuse service to anyone. And... I just have to ask, why is it such a big deal? I'm a Conservative myself, and my Father died when I was only 20, from a sudden massive heart attack. Now...my Mother is 73, and would be more susceptible to having issues if she caught the virus. What I don't understand, is why somebody wouldn't wear a mask, to just be respectful to those who have to go out, get groceries, work, etc., and don't have the option to stay home? I don't think don't somebody needs to wear it 24/7 when they are out (say like when they are outside), but within businesses, makes sense. I think this whole thing with mask wearing has gotten very political, when it shouldn't be. We should WANT to protect the elderly and folks with compromised immune systems. In fact, I think it would make more sense for more things to open, and have masks be worn, than to keep things shut down and continue ruining the economy... I mean, if we knew that all kids could go back to school and businesses could open, and all we'd have to do is wear a mask when we interacted with people in public and at schools, for that to happen, why not do that simple task??? It's not like it's forever, and eventhough masks don't help 100% of the time, they definitely help slow the spread. Originally I was against masks, just because I thought that people should have the right, and if you're sick you should stay home. But, I know that many people aren't in a situation where they can just sit home and not work, or get groceries. Not everybody is financially stable enough to do that, nor does every town have something like instacart. And many people don't have people who can go and do those things for them. After looking at things and comparing wearing a mask or staying shut down, I think wearing a mask is an easy solution to help both people (who are immunocompromised and can't recluse at home) and the economy fully open.

  525.  @kpchessman  I understand that "some" have medical reasons for not wearing them. My point is that, "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" already. Whether you're being political to wear them or Political to not wear them, that's is something where we could work together to slow everything down and protect others. It's NOT difficult to wear a mask. Yes...they can be annoying, but knowing you're protecting others, makes it okay. My Mother is able to stay home, and eventhough I know that the recovery rate is still above 94% for even the "lowest" rate, I just think that at this point it's better to work together and just get through this tough time. It SHOULDN'T be a mandate, it should just be something people ARE willing to do and put up with, for a period of time, to help others and get this thing over and done with. I don't have a big fear of my Mother getting it, because she's at home. I just think about other people and how they don't have those options (and even including those who can't wear a mask). If we can all stop being selfish about a damn mask and just wear one to get through this (minus the folks who can't, and maybe they carry a note/letter so they don't get bombarded by people, that wouldn't be difficult), things would go back to normal, much sooner. I'm just over everything and want things to get back to normal. To make matters MUCH worse, my Mother was diagnosed with Dementia in June (her Mother had it and so does her older sister now), so I don't have a lot of time before things get worse. I get really upset when I think about things, because she had a doctor's appt in March, but because of everything, it was cancelled. I live in WA state so we were hit early. That was valuable time, since Dementia isn't curable. I guess I just think about other people in a similar situation, and don't have a problem with doing my part so it's easier for others, and so this damn thing goes away. My spouse is also the Lead Sergeant for the local PD (has been in L.E. for almost 30 years), and his son is a firefighter/EMT, so I think about them and what they have to deal with on a regular basis, and have even more reason for this to go away. Anyhoo... Sorry for the long ramble. I'm just over everything that's going on. There's so much more to life, than all this bullshit right now. I know from personal experiences, just how precious life is, so maybe that's why I think more about this. When my Father died, I'd been with him less than 24 hours before (it was my Grandma's Birthday party, Mom's Mom), and I never would've guessed in a million years that that night when he left, that that would be my last conversation, hug, or anything with my Dad... It's just really depressing what's going on right now (OVERALL), and so many idiots/stubborn people, just don't get it... 💔
