The Democrats don't care how much money gets spent, because in the end they'll just say, "look at all the debt President Trump racked up," whether it was bipartisan or not. Plus, they are getting pretty old and have millions as well, so they don't care about taxes getting increased as well, because it doesn't affect them as much. Plus, it's our children who will end up paying for it, for the rest of their lives.
