Correct, usually people with PPD DON'T commit murder or harm, but... people with Post Partum Psychosis, definitely can. A lot of people lump PPD into PPS.
My sister-in-law went through a very scary bout of severe PPD, possibly PPS, with her 3rd child. Thankfully, we all noticed things, and we got her help right away (therapy, physical help at home with her children, and also help medically- she had injections of some kind of supplement or vitamin). It's scary how things can change so drastically with somebody's mood after having a baby. It can literally be just like a light switch.
I wouldn't have ever believed that if somebody had told me that was possible, but after seeing what happened with my sister, I know it's DEFINITELY possible now.
