I have two friends that have PS and when they have episodes, they usually want to be alone. Usually they will put on headphones to try to drown out the voices and lay down.
But... the first time they both had a psychotic break, they ended up being arrested for violence, because it was so severe. In fact, I was on the phone with one of them and it was truly the scariest phone call of my life. And this was 20 years ago! He had told me that he had to set his girlfriend free, that he had spent the night in an abandoned house and was hiding up in the rafters with a "metal pokey thing," and so much more. I was in a different city, but had to call emergency services, because I thought he had done drugs or smoked some laced pot... unfortunately, it wasn't that simple.
He ended up being taken to the hospital, where he then ended up getting arrested later, then jail, then he ended up in a homeless shelter, and I won't share the rest after that. I will say though, that things finally got a lot better after he was medicated and he actually a teacher now (outside of the US, because he can't teach inside the US because of his criminal record during his first episode).
The other guy is now in a facility after having a major psychotic break that was induced by drugs...and it's truly sad. In fact, he let people move into the house he owns, and now his mother is STILL trying to get them evicted, because they aren't taking care of it, paying rent/the mortgage, etc.
I get that many don't believe her, but I do... she's the ONLY person I've ever thought was "insane" during a crime, and I've watched hundreds of trials over the past 24 years.
But you're entitled to your own opinion, I'm just trying to explain a little bit.
Take Care!
