The great Ralph Nader. He, too, like Bernie, was falsely blamed for a Democratic loss. Always spot on.

Vote the establishment out in both parties. Debt Jubilee.

Biden is a sellout, and always has been. Obama only got away with it because he was a great speaker and public personality, despite his policies. Much of the left were hands off. Still, removing Trump is a good first step. Removing Biden after one term is the next.
2
Pelosi is slime. Primary every establishment candidate in both parties.

What about Trump's memory loss, cognitive impairment and dementia? Trump forgets facts, science and what he said before
1
My theory is that Joe Biden is like Kagemusha, the Akira Kurosawa movie where one of Japan's most feared generals is killed, and that fact is hidden. The general's advisors set up a look-alike to pretend the general still lives. He inspired the troops and unnerves the enemies. But even a Kagemusha is better than President Trump by several orders of magnitude.
1
Biden, even as a shadow (Kagemusha) of a once mediocre candidate, may be enough. See Chomsky's thoughts on Democracy Now.

Morris Berman is right. Trump just speeds up US decent. However, with Trump, the potential dangerous avenues multiply.

It is easy from the sidelines to criticize relatively progressive members of Congress. There were about 500 plus House and 100 Senate members who succumbed to the herd action of being held hostage by the right. Not everyone is a Jesus, willing to be crucified. They are the best we have. Chomsky is right. Who is the person who is a better reactor to whatever the people collectively wish?
1
Removing Pelosi is another necessary step.
1
AOC, a recently elected lawmaker, at least had the courage to speak out. The structural power held everyone hostage to bail out Wall Street and investors. Why are you obsessing on AOC? Keep some perspective.
1
Luke Fanders Everyone talks and it is early to judge her actions. I appreciated her support of Bernie and the New Green Deal.
1
Trump and Republicans have been hammering AOC. Pelosi and establishment Democrats have been hammering AOC. You fit in. Spread the blame.
1
Pelosi should resign along with McConnell, Burr and other inside traders.
1
She has more integrity than you
1
AOC made the difficult decision to support Biden despite his many faults instead of who Chomsky calls dangerous and a gangster
1
Primary every establishment candidate in both parties

Trump has dementia. He says things showing memory loss and cognitive impairment hourly. But you do not discuss that b

Rapacious oligarchy is correct.
1
The Republicans don't have to do much when the left so viciously attacks itself. Chomsky's recent analysis on Democracy Now is more accurate, and he is 93.
1
You ignore over 500 Congressional members to attack the most progressive. Trump and Republicans set up a coerced herd action or be crucified. You attack these for questionable views. That is cowardly.
1
Excellent analysis. 👏
1
You spend too much time attacking the relatively progressive AOC. The attack on Pelosi was justfied, yet are there not many other congressional members, administration members and others even more involved.
1
We all hope that any representatives find courage
1
Over 500 representatives did, in fear of crucifixion by Trump and Republiscams. Yet you cowardly only pick on Progressives.
1
Important discussion.

Matt Taibbi's label of Griftopia is spot on.
