  2. Nuclear energy is carbon intensive. From mining to processing fuel, to construction of enormous containment structures, to running and waste management. Each step is very carbon intensive, contrary to industry propaganda. It is further, far more expensive and produces toxic pollution for millennia. See, e.g. Helen Caldicott and Harvey Wasserman.
