  1. America pays nearly 20 % of GDP on health care. Compare this to roughly 7% of GDP in the 1970’s and earlier. It also compares to roughly 8 % in other developed countries, even those with universal health care. This is a tremendous drain on businesses and the economy.

  2. Health care is not free market in America. It is the opposite. Government policy supports dysfunctional business models. The nature of private insurance means drug and medical providers can raise prices without affecting demand. Insurace pays the higher prices. The patients are screwed.
