  1. Nuclear energy is not clean nor green. There is major carbon and other pollutant production at every stage: mining the fuel, storing the fuel, transforming the fuel, creating the massive containment structures, maintaining the plant, safely storing the waste. Green and clean are lies. Just like the “clean coal lie.” Plus there is constant danger of catastrophe, not to mention millennia of toxicity. See, eg Helen Caldecott and Harvey Wasserman.
