  1. Hearing that Jackie’s grandmother’s greeting to Caitlin about how worried she was about her admittedly was a tear jerker moment for myself. The pain both families went through because of a monster in society, it’s a little reassuring that the two families have been supportive to one another. Jackie and Caitlin were lucky to have such caring families. 😭

  3. I think it was Brian’s suspicious behavior that made people more focused on this case, the way how both he and his parents acted do coldly when Gabby’s family were desperate were screaming red flags.

  4. This story certainly has the most twists to a mystery case that I have come across. Feel horrible for the children to go through a family like that.

  5. Really tired of the narrative that this case caught everyone’s because of how Gabby looked, really tired of it. What caught most people’s attention was actually Brian himself and his suspicion behavior that was the opposite of a worried boyfriend. His damned suicide letter says everything about his character. He was a narcissist who refused to address the monster he became. Other great examples of murders that get international news are Chris Watts, Anthony Todt, Jodi Arias, notice each other them are lovers or spouses that try to deflect their sinister character with some crazy story. THOSE stories catch attention no matter the description of the victim, people naturally zero in on suspicious characters, it’s natural. Quit throwing out this horrible narrative, it just makes everyone irritated for various reasons and crap like this that is part of the problem in our culture and contributing to further divide our unstable country.

  6. If there was 1 word to describe this family, it is grit. The strength they had to pull through is amazing, gives a glimpse of the cautious side of police work the average citizens take for granted.

  7. It's not a stretch to say most murderers are callous, however, Brandon has shown severe signs of some personality B disorder, likely sociopath perhaps narcissism. You got a boy whose parents likely spoiled him, from having that big new truck, the license plat affirms his entitlement attitude, messing with a woman's emotions and taking her for a joyride, having zero interests in establishing an emotional connection, killed that woman for allegedly carrying his child because he was a coward to take some responsibility and accountability, etc. I hate to say this back to his mother, but having a chat doesn't prevent people like this from doing something as heinous as murdering someone. His psyche is stuck at his #1 concern, himself and himself alone.

  9. This is one of those cases I think the attorney’s “evidence” was too far fetched, if I was in the jury, I wouldn’t convict Gil because there is nothing concrete to prove he was involved. Perhaps he might have done it, yet to be frank, this is that case that is an example of having doubts he was involved. The motive doesn’t make sense as Tom was adapting to the affair, understanding in fact while of course upset, yet he likely didn’t want to throw the apple cart for the family’s sake and was making amends of the situation. There is no direct evidence that ties him to the case. Seeing a car out in the early morning means nothing unless the car was directly next to Tom’s showing an interaction. The anesthesia Gil did have was untouched, likely part of a kit that Gil didn’t keep track of, while his office has proof it was never brought in to his dentist. No smoking gun. Now the fact the police neglected the other person involved in the affair, the wife, didn’t bother to search in her’s and Tom’s house is a red flag. People here seem content to look suspiciously at the wife hypocritically call Gil, the man she had an affair with, a sociopath. Gil might have been able to patch things up with Tom but was Tom in the way from his wife’s motives? Not saying she was the perpetrator but the police should have backed off from finding any grasping links to Gil and worked better to at least clear the wife too.

  10. Serves Orlando right thinking he could escape justice by hoping to another country. So glad that Nicaragua showed so much integrity to a crime that happened outside their country, and were willing to give the American detectives a chance to be a part of the trial. On top of that, the judge seemed so respectful to Haley’s friends and family, it was touching. The irony that it seems the Nicaraguan court delivered a stern sentence than if Orlando stayed in the US. And I think it would be fitting to bring in the concept of discussing femicide as an option of a homicide in the American court of law.

  11. I think Jeffrey Dahmer had shown more remorse than this guy, didn’t watch the interview but was listening to it while doing chores. So I didn’t pick up on the way he moved, or so what he assumed, but I listened to him and notice one major thing, he was cold through out the whole interview. There was no range of emotions, not even a hitch in his voice to indicate some tension. The only reason he probably had to think of Jennifer wasn’t because he was seeing the error of his ways, but he likely had to face why he was there and my suspicions is that he placed the blame on her death. Not how he was the one who killed her.

  12. In all of the years I’ve watched true crime documentaries, this is the definition of tunnel vision. Cannot understand how ANY of those jurors were able to connect the minuet evidence to specifically Jim. I say I cannot say he didn’t do, but the point is that he is supposed to be PROVEN guilty, and what was delivered did not do that for me! Not one of those prosecutors nor did Cathleen’s family that turned on Jim give the evidence moment to validate that Jim was linked to the crime! There was no motive! A pamphlet of marriage counseling means nothing if there wasn’t proof that the couple even went to it! A stranger could have passed those pamphlets out and the couple could have just left it in the car doing errands. There’s too many holes and there’s no evidence that is tight or solid enough, the closest would be the boat shoes, BUT EVEN THAT THE PROSECUTORS MESSED UP BY NOT MATCHING THE PRINT OF THE SHOE TO THE BAG!!! Some people might accuse Sarah of being in denial or Sharon being naive, but I think I’m with them that this investigation blundered horribly and we’re not stupid, the evidence presented does not match directly to Jim. It’s understandable that the spouse is always the first suspect, HOWEVER following the evidence is key to finding the murdered. Anyone could have staged a set up robbery! Any man could have owned boat shoes! Cathleen died on a snowy February day, her body could have been altered by the cold to mess up the prediction of the time of death! There’s too many loose ends that this is a case to be re-trialed with proper DIRECT evidence.

  13. Before this video, I have heard about this case and how Todd was proven guilty. HOWEVER, this documentary has briefly mentioned one important part that seems to be skimmed over, and it was his lawyer final statement that Amy was murdered, when Todd’s story is that he thought it was an accident all alone ng. That seems suspicious, imo 🤨

  14. Chacey certainly isn’t the brightest bulb, one example is stupidly talking about the state of her marriage right after her husband was murdered. Big liar, thinking she can get away with it, immature, what a catch!
