  1. I think this should matter more to Americans, whether we like it or not, Markle is seen as equivalent to the American in this situation. I can’t tell the amount of times trying to tell certain Brits online we as a nation did not raise her, first off, we believe in the power of the individual and it was the responsibility of her parents for the moral views she has of the world. Really a horrible mix of a guilty father trying to make of for the lack of the presence of the mother in the Hollywood sphere was going to create a horrible character if there was nothing to help bring her big head down from the clouds to learn humility and grace. Second, we are a huge country, with A LOT of different types of people and personalities that come with it. With that we are going to get wonderful individuals and then we’ll also get the ones who are like Markle, nefarious and cruel. However, the ones who gets the exposure to the world are the ones like Markle, proving to those who generally hate Americans that we are a bunch of drama queen backstabbers. Doesn’t help that generations ago another American was disdained in the UK for taking away their king for power and wealth, yet ironically the more that King Edward’s behavior has been revealed, more Brits have turned grateful that Wallis existed to take away a horrible leader.
