Do you think part of the issue is that China wants to count the areas where there is dispute of what is considered “China?” Like Taiwan, or any of the surrounding islands in the 9 dash line, hell perhaps lump in Mongolia as they act like it’s not a sovereign country. Of course we know the reports are severely off, yet is this something to consider?

  2. Came here after seeing the list of other recommended videos, mainly wanted a perspective from a Chinese person themselves to see if we came to a similar conclusion. I’ve been studying Chinese art, in fact my professor brought up the rise of the Chinese artists wishing to find their ancestry’s culture as the CCP has made way to tear down ancient villages for empty unlivable skyscrapers. It really is sad to see and observe why many in China are very confused with how they are perceived, especially recently. Just this week a group of Chinese who applied for British citizenship harassed a man online for recording himself playing the piano in a public setting. From what I’ve heard some of the Chinese see through the hostility this group demonstrated but I worry the lack of perspective is making it worse that many around the world is getting fed up with the rude behaviors. We all see through it is the Communism their country embraced that encouraged an aggression that makes it difficult for anyone to interact with. In the long run this will result isolating Chiba from the world whether they want to be isolated or not.
