As an American, it irks me how this couple, specifically Harry, keeps bantering about wanting “freedom.” It’s one of the big signs they are trying to grab American’s favorability. Freedom is a term the world thinks we throw around, but it has been dearly cherished for many generations. We have two major and pivotal parts of our history that freedom was the focus, first was our independence in 1776, highly recommend Brits actually look into that war to understand the context of how and why the colonies fought for their independence. And the second important part in our history was abolishing slavery thus giving freedom to everyone like how the original writers of the Declaration of Independence intended for our country. It’s a mockery that this entitled pampered prince thinks he was never free. I sincerely hope he never interacts with those who escaped North Korea or any other part of the modern slave trade. He uses that word as a selling point, trying to garner sympathy from us Americans to automatically side with him, but he belittles real people who have no freedom and mocks our ancestors for the battles they fought for freedom. It’s vulgar and disgusting. The irony is that it is he himself who has shown to not be a free thinker that has created this mess in the first place!

@Not_Always I never said we were the first to abolish slavery!!! It doesn't take away we did abolish slavery! This is about selling point to garner American sympathy, Harry throwing around the word freedom to use as a cover to get away with they want because it is a term that Americans are known to be a huge part of our country's history.

@Flightwithoutwings Maybe you're the one who needs the reading glasses and a proper history book. The US abolished slavery in 1863 after a vicious Civil war, look it up! Just because the UK got to abolish slavery AFTER we won our independence (how convenient to get some inspiration) doesn't mean other countries didn't follow suit. What I can say, proudly, we shed blood to abolish slavery. Second, ever said the British didn't have freedom of speech. Again, it's something that doesn't belong to just the UK either, Americans here too have it, it is the FIRST article in the Constitution. Written, clearly. Can't help a foreign prince doesn't bother to do research before opening his stupid mouth and expose how empty his vase is. Same can be said back to you.
