It's AWESOME that Luke thought to save this memorabilia for the times to come.. It's amazing he took the chance to learn what he did and become the man he became.. I'm only 4 minutes into the video but I can tell (like all your videos!) this one is going to be for the history books!!

Total respect. My uncle served in the Navy for life and I couldn't imagine the hardships and scenarios that he's lived through. Thanks to all who serve this great country.

27:00 So basically, and this is engineering 100 level, but yeah it's ingenious, where you'd start with a thicker plane then as you work the angle out and 'stretch' the metal almost to past the plasticity to ridgidity and well strength, your final depth will be much thinner than the originating piece. that's some math right there! AWESOME!! edit: of course you explain it in the next minute.. haha well I thought of it before it was explained, so at least I get it!!

I worked for a swimming pool maintenance company when i was younger.. We used to measure for loop lock or merlin safety covers (anchored winter covers that you can walk across) and we used an A B measurement process. We'd set 2 points either 10 or 20 feet apart (depending on the size of the pool) and make a shitload of marks around the pool and measure from A then B the distance to each mark on the pool perimeter (or waterfall or rock formation or ladders and stuff). Same idea as this, but a little less sophisticated. : )

It's tough, Destin, to get in front of some of the smartest engineers in the workforce today and tell them they're wrong. Not that they 'can't' do the job, but that they may not be 'looking' at things the right way. Kudos to you for opening at least one of their eyes.

To sum it up, as a layman, dynamic is the definition of the strategy to adapt to an ongoing problem of multiple opportunities in the advancement of space and planetary exploration.

Awesome work Destin. The look on his face when he opened the print.. just amazing!

Absolutely amazing in-depth experience. Thank you for sharing what small town America is STILL capable of. You'd be surprised what's in an unassuming warehouse down the block from you.
