  1. That was the best of times. Before any real encryption was around, a LOT of business calls on the cell frequencies 800-900 mhz.. and the cordless phones were wonderful fun to listen to, I grew up in a very small town and had a tall house. I would sit up on the third floor and listen to ALL of my neighbors on their old cordless phones.. (allegedly) what a great era, long gone by privacy and encryption. However, I did earn my General class ham license as an adult and have WAY more technology today, heck with my one radio I can basically listen to the entire usable range of bands.. good fun!
