Make me cry AJ. My old man was there. Early. 61 he enlisted, he's legally blind in his right eye so he figured get it out of the way, get his medical and be done with it. Nope, he aced the asvab and they wanted him so they taught him to shoot with his left hand. (he knew how to shoot) Anyway, he had a very rare cancer in 1982, I remember it a little, I was 4 / 5 back then, but I remember my dad going from 220lbs brick shithouse to 125lbs in like 2 weeks. Yeah.. it ate him alive. Never got a single benefit from the military or government because even though he did his time over in 'Nam, he got his DD214 2 days before they allegedly called the Vietnam War a War. So.. he wasn't entitled to ANY of the benefits at the time. Shitty.. He died in pain on October 21 2015, 4 major cancers had reared their disgusting head. May you rest in peace dad, I love you very much. Your memory lives on with my children, and you will NEVER be forgotten.
