  1. The main thing that will always hold back any research at the level of building a production level plant of nuclear power is Big Oil. They will spread their fear as deeply as they possibly can. There are a LOT of big wigs who own a LOT of oil stock, as oil is what makes this world turn today, and nuclear just gets in the way of their profits. Shame..
