I don't think people realize how large this industry is in the US. When I was 18, I nearly shipped off to live in Kosovo for two years to do contract work for an army base. My cousin used to fly to Israel and Oman to sell anti-tank mines and he is a stereotypical stoner. He has pictures of him with high ranking officers in the middle east. It's hilarious.

In order to confirm our alliance with the Aussies, we had to close ALL Outback Steakhouses and publically admit that Fosters is in fact NOT "Austrailan for Beer".

@the1HLT It's actually really common. My contract work was through G4S. The same company who staffs mall cops.

@GooberGunkThe3rd-ik2tl I'm the same way. It sounds weird, but he was just a glorified sales guy and I was a rent-a-cop gate guard for an understaffed military.

@aynjeleyes lol exactly. That's the joke 😉

If you wonder why American vehicles are typically in desert color, it's because that's the base primer that is ready for additional camo paint when they arrive to their destination. It doesn't mean they stay that color.

The ultimate example of "this meeting could have been a phone call". I almost think the US wanted a Chinese response like this. Same with Russia and Ukraine. The US wants...something....to start. Maybe so they can reset the world after it. Wouldn't that be 'great'...

Everyone assumes OP is Indonesian, but he could be Irish and trolling everyone here. You fell for his ruse. Smart man. Set a trap for the masses. Hook line and sinker. Got em. They never saw it coming.

70,000 a year?? Wow, that's like more than a Vietnam War every year. I think 50,000 were lost in Vietnam over 10 years. Wild.

Me, a civilian: You're telling me we pay all this money and not all of our bases have air defense?? I get stuff is expensive - but I'd say base air defense is...pretty crucial?

That is the prime paint, the final coat of paint goes on depending on where they end up and tan is a good neutral color that can accept various paint colors.

My cousin is a gunner on one of these amphibious vehicles. He claims he vaporized a cow using a Mk19, but that bastard is a known liar.

I personally don't agree that striking civilian Russian sites are a good idea. Those attacks won't convince Russian citizens to stand up to their government - it will push them into their arms and make them support the war, and even worse - support a draft.

Hey, I respect them for wanting to stay neutral. For that alone, I consider them friends. Except they want to stay neutral, so I'll stand here awkwardly alone...😢

I believe there are only two months out of the year where it would be possible to invade Taiwan. I think it's April and October. Maybe the US thinks China will make a move in October. China needs to make a move soon because they may not have a chance in the near future.

Everyone in the US likes to claim that China is so advanced and playing 4D chess, but in reality, they're a corrupt, lying, thieving paper tiger who have no idea what they're doing. Ignorant new money on the world stage. Don't get me wrong - never underestimate anyone, but China is possibly worse than Russia in terms of military issues.

The hard truth is that we thought we could smooth and buy our way into global soft power - but it's not working. Neither did introducing free trade to China. They're still Communists and they gutted us with our own weapon.

I have lost ALL respect for our military leaders. They're trash. Lower enlisted are great though.

The Chinese beat us at this because US politicians no longer care about America, and are most likely being paid by China. When the US falls, these politicians will be intergrated into Chinese society at the highest levels as a reward for their service to the CCP.

@slashz8 Trump was the only president in the last 30 years to NOT start a war, so I'm not sure where you're getting your information from...plus, Democrats want war with Russia right now...soooo 🤣

@rwdchannel2901 Possibly Camp Bondsteel. I forget the exact details.

I'm shirtless, and eating cheetos on my couch - don't ask me my opinion on missile defense technology.

Who made you put in a content warning in the intro? 😂

The drone defense is a bit lackluster...isn't there some sort of EW solution? Lasers or something?

More like Clittoral...am I right, gentlemen?

Russia lies about having insane weapon tech - America panics - America then develops insane weapon tech to match it - Russia panics - Repeat

Russia took Crimea - so we should take the arctic

As long as the Navy isn't putting all their eggs into the 'carrier' basket, I don't see the issue. Anti-ship missiles exist? Duh. There are plenty of defenses against that.

Our politicians don't want to help Ukraine with that money, they just want to enrich themselves. Corruption runs deep in the US and Ukraine.

China made the Wolf Warrior movie as a cope due to this 😂

I went hog hunting with a few vets recently and it was interesting to see how they reacted to death. I've known these guys for years and I can hang when it comes to the drinking and dark humor, but it was a side of them I never saw until then. Not in a negative way, but it just reminded me that they've lived an unique experience that I would never understand as a civilian.
