  5. No matter how you feel about the conflict, the truth is there are millions of people on each side of this thing that are decent and good people. It's a tragedy. As an American, I've learned a lot about Ukrainians and Russians and the more I learn the more I wish this wasn't happening. Our governments get greedy and drag the rest of us into it.

  14. I admit I was hesitant to visit Paris because of the stereotypes, but they seem cool. Every urban population is going to be rough around the edges. Tourists can get annoying sometimes, I get it. I'm from Florida and people can be pretty harsh to tourists. Saw a bumper sticker this morning that said "The locals hate you" lol...bit too harsh.

  18. I always wanted to go to Ireland as an ancestral pilgrimage of sorts. Europeans think we're weird - but everyone wants to know where they came from. Besides, I can't visit Prussia because it no longer exists.

  19. I think a lot of people are jaded about their hometown. I wouldn't take it so seriously - it seems to be a bit of a past time to complain in that area. Full of piss and vinegar - a lot of us Americans can find it jarring at first, but I think we just misunderstand them.

  20. This is a weird comment because it's the non-PC crowd who wants to be color blind. That SHOULD be the goal in ending racism. Otherwise focusing too much on our differences just furthers the divide between groups. If your goal is racial harmony, then we should be focusing on what makes us similar.
