  1. My dad worked in a Chinese restaurant when he was a teenager, and he told me the owner always tried to reuse rice off of unfinished dishes. So gross. That was in the US, but the owner was Chinese, so maybe its a cultural thing

  2.  @mowtow90  True, I understand that - but it doesn't excuse the behavior. The youth in China seem to realize it isn't acceptable, so it isn't ubiquitous.

  6. It seems like US politicians admire China for their authoritarianism. The US desperately wants to control its citizens and it looks to China as inspiration. Companies and Hollywood tend to bend over for the CCP because China's large market. The US in general loves money more than their own country and it has had a negative affect over the years. I also think people have become fat, lazy, and addicted to stability and security. The concept and practice of liberty is scary, dangerous, and takes hard work to defend. It's sad, but I think that is what's happening. At least in the US.

  8. Just because America is the better alternative option, doesn't make it a good option. Does China and Russia inflame tensions? Absolutely. However, there has been a lot of suggestion that Americans ONLY feel critical of their own country because of Chinese/Russian propaganda - and that's absurd and insulting. My evidence is the direct actions and words coming from our politicians. They can't simply push this off and blame some outside source. There are huge problems in America and I wouldn't be surprised to learn we were one of the most corrupt countries in the world. We have normalized corruption to a point where it is accepted. Social cohesion is all but non-existant. I appreciate the kind words, and I love your content, but you came here at a bad time, unfortunately. It used to be better here.
