  1. I used to be the most hardcore patriot, romanticizing the Sons of Liberty, etc. Man, I fell for all the propaganda. The truth is: WE started the war with France in Ohio and the stamp act was the crown's attempt to pay for our antics. The tax wasn't even bad. The political elite just wanted power. There was no noble fight for freedom. The US government will spend years filling you up with hopeful propaganda only to turn around and spit in your face, treat you like an outsider, and call you a domestic terrorist
