So you think if a human puts a hot drink in their lap. And it spills. The human should be surprised it is hot? Where the human is over 12.

Hilarious that half the comments are from hippies backing the McDonald's lawsuit. "I like my coffee at 73 degrees. Not 77. That should be illegal. But I don't like authoritarian institutions/ governments. Unless I agree with them. Then they are obviously right. But I hate big companies more. So McDonald's wrong."

Because they aren't dangerous if you have a mental age above 12 and use it as intended. To put in your mouth not your lap.

What temperature do you make coffee at? You don't use boiling water? You boil the kettle. Steam comes out. You then wait... 3 minutes? 17?
2
If it was well above boiling. It wouldn't exist. That's physics. The parts that were liquid were by definition not boiling.

@sebastian5342 Coffee is hot is a basic concept and standard. I agree.

@sebastian5342 The cup shouldn't melt in your hand. If you hold it like a normal person = basic standard The lid should stay on even if you lift it upside down, above your head, shake it vigorously = treating us like children, condescending, I'd be embarrassed if a 14 year old did this and was surprised the lid didn't stay on. The size of a "large" coffee in Starbucks must be the same as at Costa as at John's coffee shop = authoritarian

What temperature should they sell hot drinks at? If not 100c why does the kettle release steam when it's on?
1
@WolfetoneRebel1916 @Martin Tierney Correct. Hence it is a liquid. Do most humans know a kettle releases steam? When they themselves "put the kettle on"? Humans that are over 12 and have IQ above say 85. Who have ever made a cup of tea or coffee in their life

@Epicmouse1108 In Europe it is considered an insane lawsuit BY ADULTS. Who don't expect mummy to wipe their bottom for them. You missed those 2 important words

And Michael Hutchence died from hanging but the belt manufacturer didn't have to pay for the coffin.

I once bought a knife. 10% sharper than my personal preference for cutting up my dinner. So when I stabbed myself in the leg with it. That was the shops fault who sold it to me.
