His pledge to "Make America Great Again" seems to have been more rhetorical flourish than substantive policy directive. Over the 4yr tenure of his presidency, the economy saw a net loss of 3 million jobs and the national debt ballooned by an astonishing $7.8 trillion. The GOP's inability to effectively address critical issues such as healthcare reform, infrastructure improvement, and the much-vaunted border wall construction is a testament to their legislative ineptitude. Furthermore, the decision to elevate the debt ceiling primarily to facilitate tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans underscores their misguided fiscal priorities. And, it is impossible to overlook the tragic outcome of President Trump's mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in a staggering loss of life among our populace.
