  1. I think fanboys hyped him up way too much even for somebody like Elon. So when not fanboyish stuff started to come out about Elon, many started to hate him. Personally I was a fan of his before read his biography, and my opinion of him decreased even more in the following decade. Why? Overrated, just lower down the talk about Elon and people will not hate back at obvious exaggeration. And look at these comments, full of fanboys.

  2. I think it's similar to Apple hate: it's a good company, but fanboys and fangirls hyped up it way too much, so some people started hating this exaggeration.
