@kennethc2466 "Miscalibrate" is clearly a word, and you even know what it means, so what are you actually complaining about? You clearly have no experience in chemistry, medicine, engineering, construction, or any other job that routinely relies on expensive standards. Standard reference materials are expensive to produce and have limited distribution (by their nature, most customers only need one or a few SRM samples, for comparison). So they are necessarily going to cost a lot. That's no scam.
