  1. Math is a language too, though. That's not just an affectation; it really is. From a formalist perspective, mathematics only investigates the logical consequences based on pure definition of the terms. It is a formal language, which makes it very unlike the natural, informal languages we typically use to communicate, but then so is code (at least ideally).
