And yeah, it's not "published" in the usual prestigious sense. It is uploaded to arxiv, a preprint server, so it hasn't been reviewed by other mathematicians for errors. It was written by Onno Maw Cain, who seems to be an amateur mathematician who has written or co-written a number of articles on recreational mathematics. I'm not sure if any of them were published in mathematical journals, but they easily could be.

This paper is the only mention of Parker finite fields anywhere in Google's index (so far). Specifically, the search term (with quotes) "Parker finite field" returns three results, two of which are in error (uncached pages that don't actually contain the search term Google thinks they do). The other result is the PDF of this paper hosted on arxiv. That's also the only page matching the phrase "non-Parker finite field." That's as of 0:57 GMT on Oct 8, 2021. Within a couple hours, I assume there will be other results popping up, including this video.

How much is known about Parker fields of non-prime finite order? Like, does anyone know if F_1024 is Parker?

@DomenBremecXCVI Yes, very sneaky!
