@Earthstar_Review The LLM does incorporate a random number at the end of the process of generating the next token. That makes it not entirely deterministic; it won't answer the same question exactly the same way every time. However, tokens with a higher score are chosen more often. But the LLM doesn't know that, and it cannot implement its own RNG really for the user. It doesn't know what a "random number" is, but it knows that when people asked for it in its training data, they tended to get 2-digit numbers a lot of the time, especially 42. So that's what it outputs.

It seems like there probably is room for an app that helps streamline the process of defending yourself against minor violations like parking tickets, as long as that app doesn't make any claims that it will replace a lawyer and it doesn't do lawyerly things like writing and submitting documents. But if it's just helping you plug your details into forms or pointing out ideas you might not have thought of or something, it probably would have some value. But I can't imagine using an app instead of a lawyer, that sounds totally insane. (Unless I'm going for an insanity plea . . . hmm . . . .)
