I think some states also relax consent laws specifically for married couples. So for instance, a 30 year old man can have sex with a 14 year old girl if they are married, unless she explicitly says no.

@Gildedmuse I didn't read your whole comment, but that sounds about right. Still, you need to understand that there is a big difference between "will probably live to 60s at least" and "will probably live to 80 at least." I feel like there is a lot of literature right now debunking the idea that life expectancies have increased, which is super weird. Because of course they increased. They have massively increased just over the past century. Sure, adults 100 years ago didn't live much longer than adults 1000 years ago, but adults today actually do. By quite a lot, over a decade in fact.
