@Kimberly_Sparkles It's only a "charity" in the sense that a minuscule fraction of your purchase might go toward "protecting" a tree. The overwhelming majority goes to marketing or profit. You are just donating directly to rich people, not donating to a charity. Also, their repeated claim that there was ever such a custom is false.

@T.E.S.S. It's not illegal. Although buying these souvenir plots does not legally grant you a title, you can lie and use the title anyway. It's basically just a self-style. Using a false title is only illegal if it's done to perpetrate fraud.
