  1.  @johncrowerdoe5527  If we suppose each purchased disk is watched an average of twice by an average of two people at a time, for a duration of two hours, we get 8 hours per disk, which is generous but I think not unreasonable. There were maybe 250,000 players sold, so if we figure the average person who purchased a player bought 10 disks (which seems stingy, but remember how short the lifespan of the format was), we get 80 hours per player for 20 million viewer hours. Technology Connections currently has 45,458,667 video views. His average video seems to be about 20 minutes long. That's about 15 million viewer hours. So unfortunately, Technology Connections is not quite there yet. But give the channel another year, and it will beat the entire CED format.

  3.  @PhoenixNL72-DEGA-  750,000 units is way more than I saw online, but maybe that figure was just the number sold before they stopped making more units. Do you have a source for over 22 million CEDs being sold, though? That seems very high.

  4.  @PhoenixNL72-DEGA-  You are right, that is what he said. I was taking numbers from my own research and quick extrapolation, but I wasn't going back to the previous videos in this series. It's a little strange, because the channel owner (do you know his name?) does say that he was surprised by the higher sales figures than he expected, but he also says that he was surprised by how low they were in other parts of the series, so idk what to say. But you might be right, and maybe the Technology Connections channel will never match the commercial success of a video format developed over the course of 17 years by two departments of an American tech giant. That would be a bit disappointing, but I believe some day the Youtube channel will surpass it.

  5.  @phitsf5475  Me too. I never know how to find such specific information. I really think it's possible that this weird channel about tech and stuff will end up being viewed more times than all CEDs put together. But maybe not. It's very hard to tell.
