  1.  @solandri69  FWIW, the U.S. is 120 V, not 110. Also, it's certainly not the case that electric burners waste as much heat to the air as gas ones. They lose substantially less, as the tests in this video showed. But it's definitely true that gas heating is more energy-efficient than electrical heating, unless you have a heat pump.
