  1. I was on statins of 8 years. For 8 years I have not been able to get more than two hours sleep at a stretch due to "restless leg syndrome", often only getting only two-three hours of sleep all night. Since I quit taking statins 4 months ago (against doctors' orders), I have not been awakened by pain and spasming in my legs. Not once.
