  5. That is not true for new multi-unit rental housing builtin the past 30 years or so. There is no rent control on those at all. Hence those 500% rent increases in a five year span. The 10% city yearly property tax on rental units is the real problem.

  11.  @tomladdus9264  If you are talking about permits for renovations and repairs on older, smaller buildings, that is true, but San Francisco has looked like East Berlin after the wall came down with all the mega-projects being built in the past few years.
