@Not_A_Tourist McDonald's prices stayed pretty much the same from the 50's though the 60's until Nixon took the US off the gold standard and inflation skyrocketed. 1955 Hamburger was 15¢ 1969 Hamburger was 15¢ 1975 Hamburger was 30¢ Thanks, Dick.

That was when a 2 bedroom ranch house in the suburbs was less than $8,000. 1955 prices for your desired meal was $0.50 Current prices for YOUR DESIRED meal comes to $6.05 Average US McDonald's Crew Member hourly rate currently ranges from $13-$22 Even taking the low hourly rate, it is not even going to be doubled at $22 per hour Worst case your YOUR DESIRED meal would be around $12.05 not $50.00. Hyperbole, not math appears to be your strong suit. 😉😬

@OtherMike5000 Doubling the average US Big Mac price would $6.98 not $11.67. Math. PS The current McDonald's Crew Member already earns between $13-$22 an hour now. Just saying.

Hope the automation works better than the shake machines.

@bettysteve322716 You sure you don’t mean Triple Hopper with Triple Cheese since the meat is from ‘Roos?😉😁

I call BS. The most expensive sandwich on the McDonald's menu is a Double Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese at $6.99. Two= $13.98. Add a large shake a $3.89 = $17.87 Taxes must be very high where you live, Timmy. 😉🤣🤣🤣

@wc1937 Having worked in fast food and ice cream parlors when I was teen, I can attest to the fact that you have to be pretty damned tweaked to screw up an ice cream or shake machine.😉😁

@paulrobertson7980 Apple and oranges. The comparison was with the regular hamburger meal in Manny's original post. Regular Burger King hamburger $1.99. 2=$3.98 Small fries $2.49 Small drink $2.49 Total $8.97 Sounds like you need to go to McDonald's.😉

Average Crew member wages across the US are already between $13.00 and $22.00 per hour.

Depends on the maintenance. Ask the McDonald's ice cream/shake machines. 🤔😉

More likely corporate CEO’s, dynasties, and executives will defeat this bill and use that to justify raising wages the own wages another 400%.

@rumfordc BS. The rate of inflation has far exceeded minimum wage by 10 times since Nixon took the US off the gold standard in the 1970's. You know what beat inflation? CEO pay by 30 times. Do you think CEOs are 30 times better than they were in the 60's, Mr. Chumperstein?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hope those kiosks are more reliable than their shake machines.😉🤣
