  1. It is an improvement, and I am on board with any improvement, but I can't say ranked choice was the reason Chesa Boudin for SF DA and Dean Preston for D5 won. They seemed to would have won without it and by a larger margin. I really think, at least in this case, it was the dedication of the campaign workers that pushed them over the top by getting the word out.

  4. Good point about ranked choice voting. Money from the major parties still is a big influence in throwing the elections.

  5. Ranked choice voting is a good but flawed start. Proportional voting would be a better solution rather than the winner take all system we currently have as it would include all opinion in the policy dealers and solutions "Proportional representation is an electoral system in which the number of seats held by a particular political party in a legislature is directly determined by the number of votes the political party's candidates receive in a given election." Unfortunately that would take time because you would have to get momentum by building and implementing at the local, then state level to prove benefits to get any kind of support for the federal level
