  2. Anyone can run. No one is stopping them. All they need is the $$$ (unfortunately) and to get on the ballot. The DNC and RNC are private corporations, not extensions of the government. They make their own rules. That is why the primaries can be manipulated. People need to stop thinking that the DNC or RNC in any way represents or cares about them.

  5. Except that the Electoral College delegates actually have voted with the people in their states, the difference between the popular and electoral votes is the apportionment of delegates in those states. The DNC process is just a shitshow.

  6.  @antediluvianatheist5262  You are correct sir. Since 1900, there have been only 16 faithless electors who defected for individual reasons. 7 of those were from the 2016 election, though not quite the same % as the DNC

  8. Blockchain voting. Sure. What we need to do is to move to a technocratic solution with no transparency whatsoever. To paraphrase: its not the voters that count, it who counts the votes.

  11.  @Bluebelle51  The parties do not care about people who don't vote. They only care about people who vote AGAINST them. If the parties rig the primaries, then Dem-exit or Rep-exit in the general en masse in the general and scare the hell out of them.
