Why wouldn't they? The former government ran away and China does not have to spend trillions yuan and countless lives of their own military for access to the Afghanistan resources... and if they decide to invade, then here is wishing on China the same fate as every other country that tried to.

I prefer to blame it on the people who started the war: Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Biden, etc.

The real question is why didn't the Pentagon have multiple Plan-Bs ready since last year when President Trump announced he was going to do it? Hmmmm.

Technically he helped get the US into the mess in the first place.

@MasteroMatter The US has bigger problems at home.

@DM-sy4hg You should be asking why after 20 years of war that has no clear objective (in their own words) and 6 months to prepare plans for evacuation that the Pentagon had no plans whatsoever. Seems the only ting the Pentagon did was to come up with more excuses like they did to Trump when he decided to pull out of Syria. Maybe you should discuss this with the Joint Chiefs, the CIA and the NSA.

Don't forget Biden had a big hand in drumming up support in Congress as well, both for the authorization and continued support.

@rolandsmith4394 I know Dominion was not around in 2001when the war started, Roland. Try again.

@henryannis8752 You and your borders. You better worry about building a wall on the Northern Border now that Canada is letting in Afghan refugees. Good luck with that. Can't wait until you hit the Rockies, Sierras or the Great Lakes. LOL

Lets fix the problems here first. 🇺🇸

I guess whatever you feel is embarrassing for US citizens is more important to you than 20 years of bombing a sovereign country.

It wasn't his to give.

Kind of weird, since the Pentagon knew this was coming over 6 months ago, isn't it. Unless of course the Pentagon had no intention of ever getting out of Afghanistan. Seems they thought they could get away with it again like they did when President Trump tried to pull out of Syria.
