@dsgbe5rtfydrtfgnhvsdvbfgst379 Ukraine never had Nuclear weapons. Those were Russia's nuclear weapons. The US and Russia cooperated because they rightly needed to insure those weapons would not go on the black market. Part of the negotiation was the understanding that NATO would not move one step closer to Russia. It did, Q-tip.
