  7. There are a number of Bernie supporters critical of his campaign strategy that are overlooking a number of things. Caucusing with the Democratic Party means: Following the DNC rules however based on the rules that  state that candidates cannot directly attack other DNC approved candidates If Bernie Sanders directly attacks DNC approved candidates, he will not get the support of the DNC, including funding or even nominal media support. Bernie Sanders does not need the funding, so he is fine there. Media support is problematic, but it is not a critical issue (based on the trolls alone, his visibility getting to be high, even in the MSM.) HOWEVER, … • If Bernie Sanders does not get the support of the DNC, he will not get the support for the Superdelegates. • If the primary is contested (no candidate gets more than 51% of the vote) then the Superdelegates weight in in the second round. • If Bernie Sanders directly attacks other DNC approved candidates, he will not get the Superdelegate vote and (technically) the DNC put in anyone as the nominee, such as Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg or even Hillary Clinton. Even though I do not agree with some of his decisions to echo the DNC party line (parroting the DNC Russiagate party line for one or his silence on Assange, Snowden and Manning for another), this is the tightrope Bernie Sanders is walking right now to stay visible and viable. Given this straightjacket, I still have to admire him for: • Sticking true to his platform and principles. • His continuing push for reform and transformation of a corrupt system. • His outdoing of ANY presidential candidate or POTUS, present or past in terms of his strength, energy and perseverance in getting his message DIRECTLY to the people. I don’t envy his position and I think he is doing the best he thinks he can given the cards he was dealt from a stacked deck.
