I thought her behavior thru thus whole thing was weird, on her phone etc. But why on earth is she holding him like a newborn baby. mom even told him to turn around the first time. And she didn't seem very upset that this little girl was missing and her son ( with the lengthy history) was the last one with her. At first glance this mother son relationship just feels icky to me. My heart breaks for the horrific way this child died.
