I disagree with the last guy. Huge portion of retired folks are the people going to work cuz there's no way to survive on social security currently

@mkv2718 I can't speak for anyone but myself. I'm a disabled person, my husband suddenly dropped dead in his early 50s. Government took a huge chunk of life insurance THEN leaving me about 2/3rds. Did I plan for retirement like I should've? nope I'll be the 1st to admit it. BUT I also didn't plan on a person being inserted as "president" who was going to purposely make it IMPOSSIBLE to survive on social security & disability. Not a single administration has truly cared about the old & disabled or they'd stop stealing money from the fund & increase checks according to inflation. The biggest difference now is...a person has to have transportation & food- which have both gone up over 100% my checks however didn't go up a dime. Fun fact- I live in Minnesota where they also tax your social security. 💁♀️ thus our dictators nick name of..."taxing timmy"

@glassontherocks when I took elderly hard of hearing dad to the Dr they tried to tell me I couldn't go back with him so I said "that's fine then the dr can come talk to us out here in the lobby where apparently It's Safe" 😂 they let me go back

@georgewoodard43 like I said. I'll be the 1st to admit I did not plan well for my retirement years. But I also didn't plan on getting a disabling incurable disease, my husband dropping dead in his early 50s and my daughter needing help from an abusive husband. People have life circumstances that change plans. But gas has increased 110%, food has doubled, electricity & natural gas has almost doubled, medication & dr/hospital care has at least-doubled. With the government being responsible for those increases, the government should also be responsible to make sure their government checks increase as well....or at LEAST get the same FREE government benefits the over 2 million folks that entered our country ILLEGALLY are getting..

@noerodriguez1252 that part is true for myself as well. I feel much better mentally, emotionally & physically leaving my home & working. I'm lucky right now my Crohn's disease is in remission and I'm able to currently work. Hopefully that will continue 🙏. Its been years active/not active for 40+years now. I fell for the..."you pay into social security & medicare fund all your life so that when YOU'RE old that fund will take care of YOU" 😂 what a crock of shit. Its been a struggle to make ends meet no matter who was president...but joe turned that "struggle" into an Impossibility. I was flipping a coin...heads I buy food, tails I get gas. But that quickly changed to heads I put enough gas in to GET to the grocery store, tails I put in enough gas to get HOME from the grocery store... 😂 all I can do is laugh cuz then you have the crazies saying just yesterday "best economy in history"...🤦♀️I feel like I'm watching the political version of the Emperors New Clothes

@charlescaldwell4595 nice of you to quickly call people "irresponsible" when you have no idea of their circumstances. Maybe if our current administration gave American People the same help as the Illegal People our older Citizens wouldn't be struggling or forced back to work to just eat
