  1. This pandemic is a variant on the common cold, which they have never been able to produce a vaccine for in the past. Yet I know there are dozens of SARS2 vaccine candidates and some SARS1 vaccines were already tested on animals then shown to be safe and effective. So how do you reconcile the previous two sentences when I am pretty sure both are correct?
