Alan is right, the government has been very lazy and arrogant in not taking the time to honestly, directly and comprehensively address all of the concerns that people have raised. They could have started that process months ago and had an online database of questions and answers for people to consult. Except that would require them to be completely honest, not exaggerate and also talk about stuff that they do not want to mention publicly. In this day and age such a patriarchal attitude is bound to trigger a backlash and inspire cynicism rather than confidence in the government's honesty and competence.
