I support this idea 100% and have had similar ideas for a while now, in the past I have pointed out that just having older singles cooperate would get a similar result, but not as ideal.

@candycanessongs Mate you are a complete clown. I am not some lonely old woman with a house that is four times bigger than she needs. That is what this is about, moving older singles into houses that are a good compromise between what they had and what they need if they want to avoid going into a retirement home. This frees up other family sized homes for families that can't afford them at the moment. Duh!

@Down with the chinese communist party What are you a street sweeper? Your sense of entitlement is ridiculous. There are a lot of big houses that are wasted on single elderly people, free those up and you put downward pressure on housing stock and lower price growth. It is a win win, you are just economically innumerate, which is probably the real reason why you find life "hard", not because it is actually hard.
