  1. Would you settle for a sea lane toward sanity? They were told exactly what sort of technologies would be needed to stop their ships turning into floating petri dishes, if they did nothing with that knowledge then they deserve their fate. SpaceX will have the same problems when they start moving people around the solar system and in large numbers to Mars so now would be a very good time to get their head around the problem and the novel solutions offered to them. Even the navy would benefit, any human activity that involves confined spaces and groups of people in close proximity where the closest major hospital is potentially a long way away, or not accessible at all.

  4.  @daveo3122  Ah I see, you don't actually know who I am or what technologies I am referring to do you? There is a way of enhancing your body in a way that does not effect your own cells but makes it capable of trapping and destroying virus particles, it is also not vulnerable to the virus evolving around the defence, unlike vaccines which just encourage more competent virus variants. There are several ways to do it, some are synthetic and expensive and others are natural and very cheap but they all use the same concept.
