What sort of fool commits to the unknowable as a fixed goal when they could make a wiser and more honest statement that stated a guiding principle then offered a parametric, conditional, statement of intent, i.e. a development program that ran according to actual realities as they changed over time without ever betraying its original purpose. Why are our leaders so sorely lacking in cognitive sophistication?

  3.  P-J Proudhon  The UAE have spent billions on coastal architecture in defiance of the opinions of a few "scientists" who can't even fully substantiate their claims via open and transparent methods and who limit scrutiny by shutting out the public with appeals to authority that justify them refusing to provide open access to all of the relevant data including the specifications of the instruments used to record their data.
