If a person was convicted when other evidence implicating another person's involvement was ignored due to the practices of the lab then there would be a case for claiming that there was a mistrial, but what percentage of them would have those particular circumstances?

@eb2505 What if there is mobile metadata that the convicted was in the area, but the DNA evidence at the scene would have implicated another person if it was put before the court? That sort of scenario.

@eb2505 Yep, if the lawyers can point out a flaw in the trial process for any given case due to evidence being ignored then each of those cases must be looked at, otherwise the justice system itself is undermind.
