There is no climate emergency, what we do have is an impending digital security and privacy emergency because China will weaponise every piece of our tech (purchased from them) they can the moment the show starts r.e. a Taiwan invasion. So when can I expect to be able to buy an Australian designed and built mobile phone that uses open source hardware and software so that it can be fully audited and cleared as as secure and privacy respecting as possible? I'm not asking for much, just a device that pretty much every citizen needs, even to interact with government in many ways. I don't even need it to be a bleeding edge device either, 5 year old tech is perfectly OK for most people if well implemented.
